Biography
Arash Araad was bitten by the acting bug in his home country of Iran before migrating to Australia in 2008. After working in the tourism industry and drawing on his military experience, he rediscovered his love for acting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Arash has worked with acclaimed directors Taita Waititi in feature films “Thor: Love and Thunder” and George Millar in “Three Thousand Years of Longing” as well as homegrown content “The Commons”, “Home and Away” and “Mr Inbetween” in television.
Not only did he serve in the army, Arash was also social worker to soldier and personnel patients in the mental health sector. His non-acting career has been equally storied: he was a tour guide, landscaper/gardener, law clerk, handyman and soccer coach respectively.
Fluent in Persian and with an ethnically ambiguous look, Arash is a character’s actor who likes to transform himself into any profession and type.
