Biography
Laura Daniella Bucci is a Sydney-based actress whose Mexican-Italian background has shaped her bubbly personality and unique style of performance. She has had a passion for the performing arts since the age of five when she commenced playing the piano.
In 2016, Laura graduated from the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Music Theatre. She has been involved in several musical productions including “Mamma Mia!”, “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “The Producers”. She also played one of the leading characters Michelle in the original Australian musical “Vicki”.
Laura’s love for horror and interactive theatre has seen her play terrifying characters including a hospital patient, séance ghost and a creepy doll, in Luna Park’s annual “Halloscream” event. She also toured around New South Wales with Hunted Interactive playing the role of Annabelle, a young girl who had been murdered, in “Rising Waters”.
Laura developed a passion for screen acting after training with acting coaches, Les Chantery and Ben Mathews. She played the role of Cecelia Pierce, a high school student in season 14 of the crime re-enactment television series “Deadly Women”. She also landed a lead role as The Blind Woman in the official music video of “Savior” by Sydney rap artist, Saif.
In 2020, Laura established her film company After You Productions alongside her long-term colleague and friend Cerise Kellie. Her first short film “Because of Ava”, which she directed and starred in, premiered in April 2022. Her company has now produced two more films which are currently in post- production and are set to premiere early 2023.
