Biography
As acclaimed filmmaker, creative producer and artist Juan Guillermo Robayo Gómez possesses a decade’s worth of expertise in feature film, television series, children’s programs in addition to advertising, video and photography. He has contributed to feature films such as the Oscar-nominated “Memoria” (2019) with Tilda Swinton and “Press Your Luck” (2023) with Paul Walter Hauser, Walter Goggins and Maisie Williams; television series such as twice award-winning “Give Me Back the Night” (2023) and award-winning animation “Airuna” (2021) as well as advertising campaigns with brands the likes of “Schwarzkopf”, “Honda” and “Sony Music Colombia”.
His skills have included screenwriting, directing, production and post-production. Excelling in marketing, branding, logistics and content distribution, Juan’s clientele has spanned from film festivals to musicians, churches and spiritual guides.
However Juan equally, if not more so, finds great joy in the collaborative prospect of being an actor, understanding strong leadership, teamwork and adaptability as integral to his continual professional growth. Having immersed himself in various photography and filmmaking projects across Sydney since his arrival in early 2014, his transition from behind the camera to being in the spotlight is the next natural step.
