Biography
Stephanie Wang was born in Beijing; grew up in Spain; and spent three years in the Netherlands in addition to a year in Mexico and Hong Kong respectively. Since her mid-twenties, she became a model and singer in the Netherlands who was able to create her own music. As songwriter/composer, she has made both American and Chinese hip-hop, chill beats and sometimes reggaeton with Logic Pro.
Stephanie’s passion for acting similarly began in middle school when she performed in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. She began to cut her teeth in the lauded techniques of Stanislavski, Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Laban movement, Michael Chekhov. She particularly thrives in the genres of romantic drama, sci-fi and horror.
Her upbringing in European culture and exposure to the different languages has made Stephanie a very open-minded and enthusiastic actor. Constant improvements in her craft and performance have brought a real and vivid interpretation of her character for the audience.
By the same token, Stephanie looks for a challenge—and an adventure—in exploring the myriad emotional states and fates of her characters. She believes that good acting doesn’t just require individual talent, it also needs collaboration, teamwork and flexibility in order to create unique and memorable work.
Whatever the artistic vision that may be with the director, crew and cast members, Stephanie ultimately hopes to entertain, inspire and touch the public’s hearts, moving them to real emotion and power of the story on stage or on screen.
