Biography
Michelle Wilcox is an intelligent, tenacious woman who is determined to lead by example and break down barriers so as to promote diversity throughout the television and film industry. She wishes to be perceived as a public figure who is proud to promote and recognise differently abled-bodied personalities.
In 2021, Michelle participated in the “A Life Changing Life” campaign on behalf of the Department of Social Services. She relished in the opportunity to highlight and promote the importance of building meaningful relationships between people with disability and their support workers.
Michelle has featured in an in-house physiotherapy documentary for Australian Physiotherapy Association. This was to recognise the benefits involved in accessing physiotherapy that could develop and maintain a high quality of life for people with disability.
She featured in an in-house documentary for the Victorian Office of the Public Advocate called “HealthCARE Conversations”. In addition, Michelle was the featured model in an advertising campaign for the Disability Service Provider “CareChoice”.
As public speaker, Michelle is experienced in offering opinions, facts and advice related to current affair issues around people with disability. Her concise, genuine and shrewd verbal communication skills to deliver relevant messages through television campaign and media interview formats are derived from lived experience.
