Biography
Rudolf Hendrikx is an inter-disciplinary performer as well as body/voice, speech and acting coach originally from Amsterdam, the Netherlands based in Sydney Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and an MFA in Voice Studies from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA). Rudolf is passionate about storytelling as a human communication device.
As an actor and puppeteer Rudolf has worked in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the UAE. He recently finished a development with Critical Path for the puppetry/movement piece “Two Bodies One Mind”. As a coach and pedagogue, he works with NIDA and Midnight Feast Theatre Company with artists who live with a disability. Previously, he has worked with the University of Pretoria, Tshwane University of Technology, the University of Cape town in South Africa and Actors Centre Australia respectively.
Rudolf is a Lessac Kinesensics certified body/voice trainer. Furthermore, he is interested in inclusion and diversity in the performing arts and vocal pedagogy specifically with his research in the process of being published.
In 2023 Rudolf completed two months of intense training with renowned comedy master Philippe Gaulier in France. Rudolf additionally runs a private practice as a body/voice pedagogue.
